Sampler Book

Alexa Choi

Sampler Book is a collection of painted torn paper collages inspired by dressmaking and needlework sampler books. While repurposing once discarded paintings into collages, Alexa creates an assemblage of abstracted figures, including a nude French prostitute and cat ninja. The book serves as both an ode to handcrafted clothing and a sampling of her imagined characters.
